Carson is born!!

He is finally here! He was born at 10:49 am November 12th weighing 8lbs. 12oz. and 20.5 inches long. He is a happy and healthy little boy and the absolute joy of our lives!!

He has a Birthday!!

Well, we found out that our little stinker is breech, which means he is turned the wrong way. (Feet down, instead of head down) So, this means that we'll have to opt for a C-section as the safest way for him to be delivered. Not exactly what we had planned but as long as he is healthy and safe, that is all that matters to us. A bit more recovery time for mom, however. Nothing that some good, strong drugs won't fix. :)

So, our little one has a Birthday set!!! Thursday, November 12th!! We go in at 6 AM and the surgery starts at 8 AM. AHHH!! Now the countdown really begins. Ready or not, here he comes. We are so looking forward to it. (Not the surgery so much) But, can't wait to hold him in our arms and finally tell him how much we love him. :)

KC Baby Shower

Induction Date Set!!!

Ok! It's official. Just in case our little guy decides to be stubborn like his dad, we have an induction date set for our little guy... November 19th! Wow! That just doesn't seem that far away. :) We are very excited.

Today, we head to Kansas City to see my family. They are hosting our final baby shower for us. I can't wait! Some family is even flying in from Colorado. We are also celebrating my grandmother's 85 birthday! It will be so nice to see everyone before D-Day arrives. We were a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to travel this close to my due date. However, last week at the doctor, she checked my cervix and said I was only about a finger-tip dilated. Which, I guess I can be that way for quite a while. And, she told me since I wasn't having any other labor symptoms that I should be fine for an overnight trip, as long as we take lots a breaks along the drive. So, we are headed to KC. I will post some pics as soon as we get back.

Lyla's Sunday School Baby Shower
